About Us
Handmade in Bali from the bones of old ships
Railroad Industrial Furniture is a small workshop in Bali, Indonesia, run by a small team of makers who would rather rebuild something with a past than make something new.
We source our raw material from the ports and salvage yards of Java: pipes, valves, pressure gauges and fittings stripped from decommissioned ships, and pressed tin panels taken from colonial-era buildings. Most of it has already spent decades at sea or on a wall. We clean it, cut it, weld it and wire it by hand, and turn it into lamps, tables and wall pieces built to last another lifetime.

Why every piece is one of a kind
No two salvaged valves are worn the same way, so no two of our pieces are identical. The scratches, patina and small marks you see are part of each part's history, and we keep them on purpose. When you order from us, you get your own piece, not a copy off a production line.

From our workshop to your door
Every order is packed in Bali and shipped straight to you. Lamps travel worldwide by DHL Express, door to door. Tables, standing lamps and wall pieces go by freight to Australia, and we are happy to quote delivery anywhere else. Most pieces are made to order, so allow 4 to 6 weeks.
